History in the making at Somerset Place

10 July 2012 Jim Harrison,

Heavenly has created a brand for Somerset Place, a Grade 1 listed Georgian crescent in Bath. Designed around the idea of Place & Possibility, with overtones of Jane Austen 2.0, the brand encourages prospective residents to make their mark on history by investing in one of the 29 properties on sale which include 9 crescent houses and 20 apartments.

Designed by John Eveleigh and built between 1790 and 1820, the crescent commands breathtaking views of the city. The £60m project by the Strategic Iconic Heritage Acquisition Fund (SIAHAF) is Bath’s most expensive restoration project and is scheduled for completion in 2014. It is believed to be the first time since the early nineteenth century that an entire crescent has been available at the same time in this world heritage city.

Somerset Place was featured in the Financial Times Weekend issue last week. The article is available in the print edition and online from the FT’s website.
