The UK - India Business Leaders Climate Group (BLCG) established by the UK Prime Minister Rt Hon David Cameron MP earlier this year launched its report and Charter of Principles this morning at the Foreign Office with a 4 minute video produced by Heavenly an integral part of the event.
The BLCG was launched by the UK Prime Minister Rt Hon David Cameron MP in February this year when he was Opposition Leader , with the aim of identifying innovative opportunities to accelerate sustainable, climate-friendly economic growth. The Group is made up of progressive and forward thinking business leaders from each country, who share the conviction that moving to a low carbon economy is not only necessary for combating global climate change but is also an essential part of any sustainable long term growth strategy.
The BLCG’s Charter builds on the strengths of the UK and Indian business communities and enshrines those common principles and actions that could boost UK-India investment and trade, drive innovation and reduce the cost of cutting emissions.
This morning’s launch, which was attended by Gregory Barker MP, Minister of State for Energy and Climate Change, The Rt Hon William Hague MP, Foreign Secretary and distinguished CEOs from both the UK and India had as an integral part of the launch a 4 minute video produced by Heavenly which included interviews with Sir Stuart Rose, James Murdoch, Rajan Bharti Mitall, Dr Amit Mitra and other founding members of BLCG.
