Heavenly launches Welsh Water's first ever brand campaign
12 July 2016 Jim Harrison,
Welsh Water’s new brand campaign launched across Wales on the 11th July on ITV Wales and S4C. The campaign – the first of its kind by the water company – aims to increase awareness of its unique not-for-profit status and to promote Welsh Water’s summer customer consultation.
Heavenly’s campaign for Welsh Water is built around a simple answer to a simple question: if we’re not for profit, then what are we for? As guardians of arguably the country’s most precious asset, Welsh Water’s for all of us. For Wales, not for profit.
Our TV ad, directed by Ben Liam Jones, features Welsh Water staff off duty. Roger Pride, Managing Partner at Heavenly said: “Utility company advertising doesn’t have to be utilitarian. It’s a people business and we all rely on its work every single day. So we’ve put people, not pipes, front and centre for Welsh Water.”
The multi-platform campaign also includes radio advertising, digital and social activity. The campaign will continue to roll out over the summer at major events in Wales.
Morgan Lloyd, Head of Brand and Marketing at Welsh Water said, “We do things differently here in Wales. We’re proud of the fact that Welsh Water is the UK’s only not-for-profit water company, and we’re thrilled to be working with Heavenly on this ambitious campaign aims to show how we put our customers at the heart of all decisions we make.
“We’ll be supplementing TV, radio and digital advertising with experiential and creative marketing over the summer to make this first major advertising campaign a memorable and engaging one.”
