Looking Back, Looking Forward. What 2011 Holds For Branding

Heavenly’s Creative Director, Martin Lambie-Nairn, has been featured as the guest blog on British Airways  Business:Life website. In his article he reviews the branding initiatives of 2010, looks forward to 2011 and shares what we believe will be five key trends for the year ahead.

BA Business:Life is British Airways’ interactive executive toolkit for business people on the move and features blog and opinion pieces from key business leaders and entrepreneurs including Deborah Meaden and Angelo Galasso.

Martin has used his blog to look back at the branding initiatives of 2010 and identify those that have been successful in the current climate of austerity. He also considers the emergence of people power and its considerations for today’s brand-owners.

In looking forward to 2011, he discusses five key trends that we believe will be significant next year – Being honest – telling rather than selling; Showing the consumer that you understand; Making new news – necessity is after all the mother of invention; Doing the right thing – behaving ethically and transparently and not being afraid to smile.
